Testimonial (For more TESTIMONIALS go to the TESTIMONIAL page on my website).

I’ve attended many of Rachel’s workshops over the last 7 years and love going to learn a new technique or different way of doing what we already do at the studio. This gives me new skills and keeps ideas in the studio fresh. Rachel gives step by step demos before you even start and talks through the technique so you have good understanding of what you are going to do. Her patience knows no limits and she always gives you personal attention in the workshop. There is no such thing as a daft question in Rachel’s classes. You can ask for repeats or queries you may have and feel comfortable doing so. I just wish I had the time to go more often to Rachel’s workshops as I find Rachel totally inspiring.

“Having dabbled in various ceramic disciplines for about 30 years I decided that I would like to learn the Majolica technique. I booked a one day course with Rachel which covered the techniques of decoration and the glazes and colours used. I was made very welcome in Rachel’s lovely studio.
We covered all aspects of Majolica and I learned basic brushwork techniques. I was surprised by the results of my efforts and even more surprised when I fired my work. The vibrancy of the colours that Rachel uses are just what I was looking for and her instruction was clear and relaxed.
As well as the tuition, Rachel can also supply a large range of colours that she has formulated herself, I bought some and I love them. We worked throughout the day, broken by a very pleasant lunch.
I feel that with practice I now have the basic knowledge to produce my own Majolica ware.”
